Turones
c. 128 - 51 BCE

Turones of Gaul lived around the river Loire near modren day Tours (Touraine). Their settlement (oppidum) was close to the city of Amboise. They were mentioned by César in his Biography. Turons provided  eight thousand men for the army to help Vercingetorix at seige of Alésia.
